What happens when the trial ends?
Your 14-day trial runs the full Pro feature set with no credit card. When it ends you pick a plan to keep going. Your data stays exactly as you left it, and you can export it at any time.
What if we grow from five people to nine?
You move up a plan, not up a per-seat bill. Basic covers up to 5 people, Pro up to 8 and Enterprise up to 15. Jobs, customers and timesheets are never capped on any plan.
Does it work with no signal on site?
Yes. Field writes queue on the phone and sync when coverage returns, so a job logged in a basement or up a tower is not lost. It installs as an app on the phone, with no app store required.
Can I get my data out?
Any time. Xero-shaped CSV exports your accountant can import directly, iPayroll-shaped payroll files, and CSV exports of your records. Your data belongs to your business, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Do I have to sit through a demo?
No. Sign up and you are in. There is no sales call, no mandatory onboarding session and no minimum term. If you want a hand, email support@onyx1.app and a human who built it will answer.
Is my crew going to need training?
The product is built around one loop: capture, quote, schedule, work, invoice, paid. Techs see jobs and their own timesheets, and never the money. Most crews are running real jobs the same week.
What is this AI connection, in plain terms?
You connect the Claude or ChatGPT you already pay for to Onyx One using MCP, an open standard. Then you ask it things like what is on today, or tell it to draft the quote for Hill St. It can only do what your role allows, and money moves need your confirmation.
Is it really built for New Zealand?
Yes. GST at 15%, NZBN, NZD, Xero-shaped exports, NZ health and safety workflows, and the Privacy Act 2020. It is built in Auckland and runs a working Auckland trade business every day.
